Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role
The Manager Regulatory Assurance and Advisory is a newly created role within our Risk, Assurance and Regulatory Directorate, responsible for the standing up and resourcing the brand new team that will monitor Kāinga Ora regulatory functions. An experienced Assurance and Regulatory professional, you will be well versed in designing, implementing and overseeing regulatory assurance and monitoring frameworks.
Along with regulatory monitoring and oversight, your Regulatory Assurance and Advisory team will also provide the business with real-time controls advice. As such, experience in controls assurance and controls design will be essential.
As the leader of the Regulatory Assurance and Advisory team, your approachability and enthusiasm will help to ensure that the team becomes a trusted partner within the business, helping achieve our goals of building homes for New Zealanders.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
- Broad regulatory and/or monitoring experience across a number of industries and organisations
- Expertise in designing and implementing assurance frameworks and advising on complex and new system and process controls
- Detailed knowledge of public sector risk, governance, accountability and compliance frameworks, as set by the centre
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and apply new practices and processes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Experience leading highly-skilled, high performing and engaged Regulatory teams in multi-faceted and demanding environments
