The details: Permanent position – 56 Hours per fortnight - Rostered
Are you looking for a career opportunity in healthcare? This position is supporting the nursing staff, to care for patients across the service at Te Kuiti Hospital and Community Services. This includes being able to provide routine activities of daily living for patients under the delegation and direction of a registered nurse. Assist and complete other tasks and activities to support the functioning of the service. This position is for 56 hours per fortnight with the opportunity to work extra hours when required.
It will be essential for you to have the following requirements:
• Be a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident
• Having some previous experience as a health care assistant would be beneficial
• Be competent at using a computer
It will be desirable for you to have the following:
• Have undertaken some training relevant to the health care assistant role
• Show how you can work in a customer service team and relate well to people.
• Have high energy as this is a busy demanding role
The Waikato District Health Board Health & Safety has a policy that includes ensuring that you comply with the Health Order announced 11 October 2021 and with the Waikato DHB’s Vaccine Preventable Diseases for Employees policy. The policy prescribes the required vaccinations including COVID19 for all employees of Waikato DHB. COVID-19 vaccinations are mandatory before you commence employment.
