Along with the Residential Leadership team, you will focus on facilitating and implementing a national training programme to ensure the kaimahi (workforce) have consistent and high-quality training, allowing them to develop essential skills and knowledge to provide the best practice possible.

Our Care and Protections Residences and the homes connected to them are committed to providing the best care possible for tamariki who need it. We believe in a positive future for our tamariki and their whānau and we support them to be safe and flourish.
As part of the Residential Leadership Team, you will facilitate and implement capability development initiatives for staff working within our residences and homes. You will be managing delivery against a National Training Calendar and individual learning plans, preparing accordingly for the facilitation of training programmes, ensuring you are achieving all objectives, and evaluating and reporting on training outcomes that have been implemented.
You will be responsible for delivering strategic and operational performance by ensuring the Care and Protection Residences are meeting the expectations set by our internal and external regulators and ensuring compliance of practice for tamariki and their whānau are of a high standard.

Key requirements of the role include:
- Current knowledge of theory and good practice within the areas of adult learning, and ability to deliver culturally appropriate programmes with confidence
- An aptitude for driving continuous improvement through all systems and processes
- Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholder relationships
- Ability to use clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience (this is essential)
- Willingness to participate in training to become certified to deliver MAPA or other equivalent training
- A clean, current full NZ driver's licence (this is essential)
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture

Annual remuneration for this position is between $71,616.60 and $79,574.00 dependent on experience, with tenure-based progression steps available above this range.
