We are a level 6 Emergency Service committed to providing acute and emergent care to patients and their families/whanau within a multidisciplinary team. We aim to deliver high quality and safe care at all times.
As an experienced nurse, we offer you the opportunity to join our highly motivated and professional team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Te Pae Tiaki |Emergency Department at Wellington Regional Hospital, where we can ensure that there is never a dull day! We have an amazing team environment where new skills are learnt on a daily basis.
As a CNS you will work in our ambulatory care area where you will see, treat and discharge individuals who present with isolated limb injuries, minor trauma, and simple illness. We offer professional development, peer support and clinical supervision to support you to develop the advanced skills and knowledge needed to function independently in this role.
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant nursing experience in the specialty of emergency nursing
- A post graduate qualification in nursing
- Strong leadership and relational skills
Mōu - About You
A New Zealand registered nurse, you will have a current practising certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand. Additionally, you will bring to this role prior experience in emergency nursing. A post graduate qualification in nursing, or study towards this would be expected. Awareness of and sensitivity to individual and cultural differences is essential.
