Are you a registered nurse with at least two years nursing experience in an acute New Zealand hospital setting?
About the role:
We are a mixed speciality comprising of Urology, Burns and Plastics. We are a 25 bedded unit; caring for patient’s pre and post operatively. We offer a comprehensive orientation programme.
Responsibilities of the role:
Providing a holistic approach to caring for patients with complex urology and plastic surgery both pre and post-operatively, this includes complex dressings.
Required skills & experience:
• have good wound care skills or an interest in wound care
• good sound knowledge of urological procedures
• be able to work in a fast paced environment with high turnover of patients
• have a basic knowledge of wound care products
• ability to prioritise workload
• good time management

Waikato Hospital is the Midland regional referral centre for multiple specialties including trauma surgery, oncology, and neurology.
