You will never have an uneventful day in the Nelson Hospital Emergency Department! ED nursing uses all your skills and provides daily learning opportunities, with around 28,000 patient presentations per annum across the lifespan. We focus on excellent, quality care and are committed to improving the experience of patients and their whanau.
This position is a permanent part time position (0.7FTE), in the Nelson Emergency Department initially, to assist with COVID management. For review after 12 months, with further placement determined by needs of the wider hospital.
This position is 56 hours per fortnight (0.7 FTE), working rostered and rotating shifts Monday to Sunday.
Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)
will be a NZ Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with a current NZNC practising
certificate and post-registration nursing experience in ED or acute care.
You will also be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical
practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a
commitment to quality.
For the health and safety of both staff and patients, and in line with the Health Order, all NMH staff are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
