Starship Community is an interdisciplinary team of professionals providing nursing, allied health, technical and cultural support to children, young people and their families living within the Auckland DHB area. We are looking for an experienced, motivated and dynamic social worker with a passion for working with children, their families and whanau.
Your focus will be providing social work support to children and their families and whanau who have high health and social needs in the community.
This position offers an ideal opportunity for you to develop or extend your social work expertise, as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will benefit from regular formal supervision, peer review, collegial support and active participation in education and in-service programmes.
You will need to be a NZ Registered Social Worker with a current Annual Practising Certificate. Previous experience working in a health setting and in child protection would be an advantage. Experience working with Maori and Pacific communities is desired. The ability to work autonomously in a multi-cultural environment is essential.
There is a permanent and fixed term full time roles available working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday based out of Greenlane Clinical Centre. As the role is a community role, a full and clean NZ drivers licence is also required.
