Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our fantastic team here at the Hutt Valley Adult Community Mental Health & Addiction Services, as part of the 3 District Health Boards- Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disabilities Services (MHAIDS). Our team works closely with other local and regional services within the 3 DHB area.
This role is part of a multi-disciplinary team and holds responsibility for clinical psychology support to the team, particularly through individual & group-based assessment and treatment, consultation, supervision, formulation and assistance with programmes that enhance continuous quality improvement.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
As part of a wider Clinical Psychology team, you-ll be responsible for assessment, formulation and intervention with individual clients referred for -stepped care- psychological therapies, as well as providing guidance to other members of the MDT on psychosocial aspects of their care (e.g. risk assessment & management, behavioral support, supervision of individual therapies).
Moū - About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- Registration in the Clinical Scope of Psychology
- Proven experience in working with highly complex client presentations
- Experience/training in multiple therapeutic/assessment approaches
- Experience of stepped care/management of referrals for psychological therapies
- Experience of providing clinical supervision to others
- Experience of undertaking quality improvement initiatives relevant to clinical psychology
