Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
A vacancy for an Occupational Therapist exists in the National Youth Forensic Inpatient Unit (Nga Taiohi) at Keneperu Hospital. Nga Taiohi is a bi-cultural, youth forensic unit with 10 beds situated on the Keneperu Hospital Campus. The unit was purpose built in 2016 and provides a modern environment with state of the art technology. Nga Taiohi offers an inpatient service for youth offenders with a mental health and/or alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues. The unit is co-located with the existing Adolescent Acute Inpatient Mental Health Unit (Rangatahi) and the Youth Intellectual Disability (ID) Inpatient Unit (Hikitia Te Wairua) in the Centre of Excellence at Kenepuru Hospital, Porirua.

- Clinical assessment and Occupational Therapy intervention
- Oversight and facilitation of the unit programme
Skills & Experience
- We are seeking an enthusiastic and progressive OT to join our multi-disciplinary team
- Must have a current Practising Certificate
- Forensic and/or Youth experience preferred
