Medical Imaging Technologist - Cath Lab Fixed Term (1 year) at Waikato District Health Board (Hamilton), Waikato

Where you will be working: Cardiac Cath Lab, Waikato Hospital

The details: Contract role for 1 year, Full-time (1.0 FTE) or Part-time positions available (0.5 FTE)

 

About the role:

We are seeking a Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) to join the cardiac cath lab team. The cardiac catheter lab undertakes a full range of cardiac studies and interventions, including diagnostic angiograms, PCI, pacemaker implants and structural heart disease treatments including percutaneous valve replacement. You will work closely with cardiologists, cardiac nurses, and cardiac physiologists, and be expected to help the other team members out when needed. The position involves working on call duties including weekends, in support of a 7 day x 24 hour emergency service.

 

You must:

• have full registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologist Board with a general scope of practice and have a current practising certificate

• previous cath lab experience preferred but not essential

• have good communication skills

• have excellent interpersonal and team skills

• be committed to improving service performance
