Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) seeks an experienced Vascular Interventional Radiologist to join our Radiology department and work alongside our vascular surgeon for vascular interventions.
- Permanent, part-time (0.6FTE, 48 hours a fortnight), up to full-time (1.0FTE, 80 hours a fortnight)
- Negotiable start date
- No on-call or weekends required

The successful applicant will:
- Work alongside our experienced vascular surgeon to perform various minimally invasive vascular procedures including all lower limb occlusive disease treatments, aortic aneurysm stent grafting (EVAR and IBD), endoleak management and dialysis access fistula management to provide treatment to the population in the Nelson region.
- Work across our multidisciplinary Radiology services including the provision of general radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI.
- Join a team of eight experienced Radiologists, who are well supported by a professional team of medical imaging technologists (MIT-s), sonographers, registered nurses, radiography assistants, and dedicated administration staff.

The Nelson Radiology department is invested in having the latest equipment and technology, as well as fit for purpose facilities. Our hospital is growing in specialists and there will be opportunities for the successful applicant to introduce new technologies alongside this growth within their expertise.We have close links to Christchurch Hospital who provide the tertiary level vascular procedures such as thoracic stent grafting, fenestrated EVAR and thrombolysis.

Our ideal applicant will:
- Bring their medical expertise and unique skill set to an acute secondary care hospital and contribute to advanced care of the acute patients in the region.
- Hold Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, or equivalent.
- Have postgraduate fellowship training (preferred).
- Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate with a vocational scope of Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Fit into a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour and respect across disciplines.

The salary for this position is based on the current Senior Medical and Dental Officer collective agreement dependent on skills, experience, and vocational registration in NZ. Link
