Registered Nurse - Transit Lounge, Integration operations Centre at Capital & Coast District Health Board (Wellington), Wellington Hospital

Service:   Integrated Operations Centre / Hospital Flow Group

Contract: Permanent / Part-time - Rostered and rotating

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

We-re changing the way our Transit Lounge based at Wellington Regional Hospital operates and looking for experienced registered nurses to join our team. 

The Wellington Hospital Transit Lounge is located in close proximity to Medical Assessment Planning Unit (MAPU) and Emergency Department (ED). It is staffed by a team of nurses who provide quality patient care while supporting effective and efficient hospital flow.

The ideal candidates will have experience in a range of specialties as no day is ever the same. You-ll be working with patients who need treatment and observation from both ambulatory and inpatient areas. 

You-ll be supported by a great orientation package, ongoing education and a nurse educator designated to the Integrated Operations Centre. The potential to advance your professional development in a thriving tertiary environment really is limitless.

We are looking for Registered Nurses with:

  • Minimum 4 years- experience
  • A current Annual Practising Certificate 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment that values teamwork and dynamism
  • Completed CAP/NETP Programme

You will need to have the legal right to work in New Zealand, and hold a current work visa.
