About the opportunity / About You
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our Community Mental Health Forensic Service based at the Mason Clinic in a rehabilitation/transition role.
The role comprises case management and intensive work with people experiencing severe enduring mental illness linked to offending histories, to develop skills for their transition to the community. This includes (but not limited to) assessing, evaluating and modifying structured weekly plans to facilitate client’s functioning in the community. Working alongside a hostel type ward on site at the Mason Clinic, our NGO partners, GP’s, work rehabilitation and employers to support the gradual reintegration of service users back in to the community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse with extensive experience of working in the mental health sector. Ideally, you will have Forensic experience but not entirely necessary as we will provide a thorough orientation to the position and will support your on-going professional development needs.
If you want to make a difference, possess a positive attitude, a strong sense of self-awareness and personal resilience and relish working in an autonomous role then we encourage you to apply.
You will require a full NZ driver’s licence, and, an APC that allows you to work in a Mental Health setting.
