Situated in Pt Chevalier on the beautiful whenua of Whātua Kaimarie, Manawanui Māori Mental Health Service provides a quality mental health service to adult Maori tangata whai i te ora. The team includes Maori and non-Maori staff, clinicians and cultural/community support workers who share a passion for supporting Maori on their recovery pathway. Manawanui’s commitment to tangata whaiora and their whānau promotes holistic healing taking into account whanau, cultural, spiritual, physical and mental dimensions in order to achieve the best possible cultural and clinical care.

We are looking for a part-time Ringawera to work alongside our Senior Ringawera to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities including our beautiful Wharenui, Manawanui. Some understanding of Health and safety and Infection control protocols is beneficial. The successful applicant will also support the maintenance of tikanga Māori by ensuring that manuhiri, tāngata whaiora and kaimahi receive manākitanga by providing food and beverages for various hui and events.

We are looking for a dynamic Ringawera with a good sense of humour, who works well autonomously and in a team and is comfortable and confident in a marae environment. Some experience working with people experiencing mental distress is preferred. Basic computer literacy is required.

We will provide an interesting and supportive working environment and a commitment to on-going training. It is essential that you have a full and clean NZ driver's licence.
