Maternity Services, North Shore Hospital

We are looking for passionate midwives to join our team at the North Shore Hospital. We have around 4000 births a year and we offer both primary and secondary maternity care, to a range of women from different cultures and backgrounds. The work is diverse and interesting and we strive to ensure that all women, regardless of complexity, have a fulfilling birth experience.

You will be working within a supportive team who have a great reputation for collegiality and mutual respect. We encourage midwives to develop professionally and take on leadership roles within the service. We are highly innovative and have received a number of awards for leading excellence in maternity care.

We offer a range of shift patterns to ensure that you have a satisfying work life balance. Our orientation is individually tailored to ensure that you are fully supported as you become familiar with our service and systems.

Waitemata DHB offers ongoing guidance from Midwife Educator to ensure both a supportive environment and that you are able to keep your registration and practice above the national guideline standards.
