Middlemore Hospital, part of Counties Manukau DHB, is a 980 bed teaching hospital providing services to a community of 580,000 people. Our radiology service is growing rapidly and there are many opportunities for advancement. Within the next 15 months we will be in brand new state of the art premises and within 36 months we will have doubled in size with additional new premises and more of the latest technology.
As our MRI Clinical Educator you will work together with the MRI Team leaders and the wider MRI team. With some exciting changes in the New Zealand health system there will be the opportunity for regional collaboration for staff development with some of the biggest training hospital in the country.
This role will participate in clinical sessions with supervision time rostered along with non clinical time.
As an ideal candidate, you will be a registered experience in MRI Radiography and have registration with New Zealand MRT Board with current Annual Practising Certificate in MRI. You’ll have great clinical and technical skills in MRI and at least 2 years’ experience; any teaching experience and experience working within a DHB would be advantageous. We provide radiology services to patients from within our very diverse community and also receive referrals nationally for patients with spinal injuries and burns. Counties has a large satellite clinic 8 kms away where we provide radiology services for in and out patients.
