Are you passionate about supporting patients and their whānau in their health journey and can bring Tikanga and Maori models of health to the fore.
Do you have health experience working with Māori patients and their whānau? if you have, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Kaitakawaenga role based at Wairoa Hospital.
The successful applicant will provide cultural and health literacy support to whānau Māori accessing health care services and will play a key role in supporting Māori patients and their whānau travelling to Wairoa Hospital, Hastings Hospital, and/or other services and districts to ensure their treatment is of high quality.
The role will be part of Te Wāhanga Hauora Maori (Māori Health Service) team at Hastings Hospital, but report to the Wairoa Hospital Manager.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisation skills, and a good understanding of health and navigating services.
