Māori Testing Coordinator

Full-time

Fixed Term to December 2022
 

An exciting, fixed-term opportunity has arisen for a Māori Testing Coordinator to join the Northern Region’s COVID-19 response programme being run by the Northern Region Health Coordination Centre (NRHCC). Reporting to the Testing and Vaccination Operational Lead, you will provide coordination and support for the outbreak response. This will include building relationships to deliver and improve programmes and processes and developing and delivering ongoing reporting.

Given the high proportion of Māori people impacted by COVID-19, a strong understanding of pro-equity approaches and model of care will be key to this role. You will need to work closely with key stakeholders, including Māori and iwi-led health providers and communities, so you will need a good understanding of the Māori culture and demonstrated ability to speak te reo Māori.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in Māori Health with a proven track record of managing or coordinating complex services, project or programmes
• Experience in quickly building and managing relationships with key stakeholders including service providers
• Knowledge and understanding of quality improvement processes and principles
• Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti and implications to service delivery.

This is a full-time fixed-term contract based in Auckland CBD through to December 2022.
