Consultant Psychiatrist, Intake & Assessment, Acute Mental Health Services, CM Health at Counties Manukau District Health Board (South Auckland), Auckland

Counties Manukau Health is one of the largest providers of primary, secondary and tertiary health care in Australasia.  We invest in growing our community and primary care services that integrate with secondary and tertiary care. We are seeking Consultant Psychiatrists to join our Acute Adult Mental Health Services. These services include the Intake and Acute Assessment and Home Based Treatment. These services are co-located which provides you with some flexibility to work across both teams or work specifically with one team.  

 

The Intake & Assessment service provides mental health triage, acute assessments, short term treatment interventions, risk assessment, psycho-education, and support of people experiencing urgent mental health and co-existing drug and alcohol issues. The Home Based Treatment service delivers an acute clinical to service users either in their own home or in a community facility enabling the service users to receive treatment with minimum disruption to their lives.
