Bring your leadership and expertise to Hutt Hospital Pharmacy department!
We are looking for a permanent, full-time (40 hours per week), Level 5/6 Qualified NZ Pharmacy Technician to become part of our team as the Lead Pharmacy Technician.
Your primary roles as the Lead Pharmacy Technician will be:
- To provide the day-to-day management of technical duties of the dispensary, including all aspects of dispensing, procurement, stock management, repacking, and compounding
- To participate in and provide leadership in quality improvement projects, education/training, audits, and other innovation initiatives
- To provide supervision, direction, and mentoring to the pharmacy technician staff and pharmacists engaged in the delivery of the pharmacy dispensary service

We provide a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical care and extended roles to a variety of clinical areas. We are a team of friendly and hard-working pharmacists and technicians, who are passionate about providing quality patient care and ensuring safe medications management.
The pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation. We are always looking at ways to improve the service and care we deliver.

Our pharmacy department is looking for a highly self-motivated team player that enjoys working with other healthcare professionals and can demonstrate effective communication. If you are a Level 5/6 NZ Qualified Pharmacy Technician looking for leadership opportunities and want to be part of a future-focused and visionary team, then this position could be for you.
Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred, but not required.
