Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
As the Contract Manager it will be your responsibility to provide overall operational management for the centralised commercial contracts team. You will be accountable for leading the delivery of a range of contracts to support positive patient outcomes by ensuring the patient journey is optimised through the delivery of consistently high-quality support services within the Commercial team.
You will lead a team of two and provide senior level operational management in a number of functional areas including Food, Linen & Uniform, Retail, Pest Control, Print, Watercoolers and Vending. Your role will also lead the central contract management practice coordination to ensure consistent and good practice is achieved across the portfolio of contracts.
Your role will support a team-based culture that fosters collaborative working relationships, innovation, continuous improvement and effective performance.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Contracts Lead, this is a great opportunity for someone to really grow their contract management credentials within a large and complex organisation set in an everchanging sector.
Key criteria for success in this position include:
- Extensive track record of success in contract management
- Extensive experience in relationship management
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience
- Alignment with & role modelling of Auckland DHB’s values
- A proven track record within a large, complex and fast paced organisation
- Collaborative and positive working style
- Appropriate tertiary qualification
- Whilst a background in health would be desirable it is not mandatory
