Laboratory Information System Administration Support, (Part time), CM Health at Counties Manukau District Health Board (South Auckland), Auckland

Are you an accomplished and experienced individual with experience in electronic systems in a healthcare or customer service environment and want to be part of our amazing team? If so, this role is for you!

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join South Auckland’s largest employer that provides quality services to individuals, whaanau and communities of the Counties Manukau region. 

In this role, you will ensure and maintain the integrity of the Delphic Laboratory Information System at all times and providing supporting as required for the Regional Results Reporting System. You will be the key contact Delphic Laboratory Information System, Laboratory staff, Health alliance and vendor.

This position is responsible for;

  • Testing new functionality prior to version upgrades and ensuring smooth transition between versions (Delphic LIS or Regional Results Reporting System).
  • Ensuring the integrity of interfaces with other systems both internal and external to CM Health.
  • Liaising with external diagnostic result providers throughout New Zealand to implement new development and solve system problems.
  • Collating user and self-initiated ideas for enhancements to the system and presenting these to the vendor for development.
  • Carrying out daily administration tasks when required e.g. patient merges, resolution of alias conflicts, daily and weekly reporting.

This is a part time position working 32 hours a week Monday to Friday, hours and days can be negotiable.

Your strengths will include experience working in a Laboratory and a comprehensive working knowledge of Delphic Laboratory Information System, operating systems, utilities and IT security. You will understand the impact of problems on core business, providing support when required. Knowledge or results reporting from Laboratory and Radiology systems will be an advantage. You must have an eye for detail and a commitment to following through as well as excellent relationship building skills to escalate and support a resolution for patients and provide staff support.
