Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

ADHB's CV ICU leads New Zealand in providing specialised nursing care based on clinical skill, research, education and innovation. Our commitment is to provide the highest level of clinical quality and the best standards of personalised care possible to our patients. This is a 24 hour service based at Auckland City Hospital, covering both elective and acute admissions, providing our patients with intensive care for a range of cardiac, thoracic and vascular procedures. We are a 26 bed adult ICU, specialising in heart and lung transplant and extracorpeal membrane oxygenation, providing unique learning opportunities you can’t get anywhere else in New Zealand.

We offer excellent professional development pathways, and on-going education along with the opportunity to apply for subsidised relevant postgraduate education, these roles would suit experienced Registered Nurses who thrive in an acute hospital setting.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • Registration or be eligible for registration with NZ nursing council
  • Min 1- 2 years’ experience in an ICU/HDU, acute surgical, acute medical or cardiac area
  • Ability to work alongside a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
