Lead Analyst Planning - Health Intelligence & Informatics (Full time), CM Health at Counties Manukau District Health Board (South Auckland), Auckland

At Counties Manukau Health our goal is to achieve health equity for our communities. It will contribute towards system wide actions to improve equity and patient, whanau/family experience of care.

We have an opportunity for a Lead Analyst – Planning to join our team based at Middlemore Hospital, this is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, some of which can be worked remotely.

We are looking for an experienced Lead analyst with an understanding of health and the associated datasets. You will be someone who can turn large datasets into insights, and who can make complex data easily understood by a non-technical audience. You will have proven experience with T-SQL and know your way around reporting and data visualisation tools such as SSRS, Qlik or Power BI as well as integrating statistical analysis into information products.

You will work closely with the other members of the health intelligence team as well as the production planning team to ensure planning and performance data analysis information is available. The focus here, is building and maturing production planning to underpin decision-making.

You will bring to the role a minimum of 3 years' experience in insights, analytics, or reporting role, ideally, within a health environment, and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be able to deliver complex analytics to non-technical audiences through clear and engaging storytelling/presentations. Along with this, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.

An ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy both deep diving into data to identify insights and rolling up their sleeves to get things done.
