Thousands of young people in New Zealand develop mental illness every year - suddenly finding themselves battling the stigma, fear and trauma associated with the illness. Without active support from experienced mental health professionals like you the outlook for them can be bleak.

At Waitemata District Health Board, the Marinoto West Child & Youth team offers expert support to clients both in rural and urban areas, and we are currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 3 years Child and Youth Mental Health experience.

Requirements for the role:

Professional Registration in New Zealand.

A desire to work with children, youth and their families who have complex mental health issues.

Preferred:

Experience in using various media and tools to engage and sustain treatment with children, young people and their families.

A Post Graduate qualification in Child and Youth mental health and/or recognised training in an evidence based intervention for Child and Youth mental health presentations.
