We are currently seeking an Upper GI SMO to join our team as part of the Department of General Surgery. This role is a permanent full time position, based out of Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Surgery Centre, with the opportunity to work regionally with the Auckland Hospital UGI and HPB teams for more complex operative cases.
This position will be in the area of UGI & HPB and General Surgery and will consist of surgical assessment and treatment in these areas. Ideally candidates for this position would also have experience in bariatric surgery but this is not essential.
Essential:
- Eligible to gain Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (eligibility for registration can be checked via this link https://www.mcnz.org.nz/get-registered/registration-self-assessment-tool/ )
- Current Annual Practising Certificate with the NZMC
