We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Rainbow Place team at Hospice Waikato.
Hospice Waikato is an inclusive, supportive, and diverse organisation focused on leading the specialist field of palliative care and Rainbow Place is our paediatric unit. They are a lively, inspirational, team committed to providing high quality care and are proud to journey alongside whanau dealing with life limiting illnesses.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you would work alongside our Registered Nurses to provide essential support to children needing respite, symptom management or end of life care. You will also have opportunities to upskill through our new healthcare development pathway.
To be the right fit for this role and our organisation you would:
• Have experience caring for children
• Have or be working towards a Certificate such as Health and Wellbeing Level 3 or 4
• Be available to work across all shifts
o Am shift 7am -3.30pm
o PM shift 2.30pm -11pm
o Night shift 11pm –7.30am
• Be resilient with a desire to learn
• Be energetic and have a sense of fun
• Have a current First Aid Certificate
• Have a current full and clean New Zealand driver’s licence
