We are looking for a motivated, passionate and experienced Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team based at Waitakere Hospital.
We offer a community based social work service to children, young people and their whanau/families responding to health, disability, behavioural, educational and social needs. We also provide daily in-reach service to the Rangatira Paediatric Ward at Waitakere Hospital.
You will work as part of a Social Work team and alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team with a model of care that is strength based and child focused.
We are looking for a Social Worker with the following skills:
- Child Protection knowledge and experience
- Awareness of the health, disability and social services sector.
- Be familiar with the developmental and / or health needs of children and young people.
- Awareness of the support required by whanau/families who have a child or a young person with a disability or a health need.
In order to be considered, you must be fully registered with the SWRB or be eligible to apply for registration.
