This position is working specifically with Auckland Regional Dental Service, New Zealand’s largest Community Oral Health Service, providing free dental care to children from birth through to year 8 in community clinics. 

In this fixed term role, you will work within targeted community-based programmes, coordinate service improvement activities to reduce inequalities, and improve access and uptake of oral health services with a focus on improving outcomes for tamariki.

You will work collaboratively with organisations within the community to facilitate effective targeted oral health promotion projects and initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will;

· Have a New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) certificate in Health Promotion ( Level 4 ) or comparative relevant experience

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to people across diverse community groups

· Be able to work collaboratively, developing positive working relationships

· Positive, proactive attitude, self-directed and motivated, able to effectively organize workload, prioritize tasks and demonstrate consistent time management

· Demonstrate culturally safe practice and an understanding and commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
