Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
The Wellington Kōmiri Physiotherapy Team work largely in the inpatient setting at Wellington Regional Hospital. Our friendly, dynamic and enthusiastic team includes kairuruku/ coordinators, experienced and advanced clinicians, and rotational physiotherapists. We are passionate about growing as a team and advancing both our clinicial and non-clinical skills. We-ve worked hard to build a strong team approach to patient outcomes and our values underpin our ethos. These include:

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We-re excited to be in a position to expand and build depth in our Cardio-Respiratory mini-team. Led by a dedicated kairuruku/coordinator, this mini-team works in the surgical setting (including vascular), cardiothoracic unit, paediatrics, NICU and ICU. Our clinical focus for this role is based in our ICU with outreach to other clinical areas as required. In line with our values, we are keen to focus on rangatiratanga and continue to innovate within our ICU team. Current projects include ventilator hyperinflation guidelines, site for TEAM trial, developing lung ultrasound skills, and Covid readiness.
Our vision for physiotherapy in ICU is to take our current projects another leap forward through advancing our clinical skills, rehabilitation intervention, outreach and research.
