Hospital Aide/Orderly (Full time, fixed term), Operating Theatres, Manukau Surgery Centre, CM Health at Counties Manukau District Health Board (South Auckland), Auckland

At Counties Manukau Health, we pride ourselves on providing the highest quality of care to all of our patients. Hospital Aides/Orderly are our nurse's right hand people. Assisting them with day-to-day tasks of caring for our patients, this is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to our vision of delivering quality patient care. This job primarily involves moving and positioning and transporting patients, manual handling and light to heavy duties. Our hospital aids are an integral part of our team and assist the theatre staff with restocking, mopping floors and removing rubbish. 

Our Operating Theatre's are amongst the busiest and most exciting places to work in New Zealand. With a reputation for both friendliness and support our teams are extremely passionate about the work they do and work together closely to ensure that high standards of care are given to all patients.

We are looking for a Hospital Aide/Orderly to join our great team of highly skilled nurses to provide non-clinical care to our patients. Our new team members must be highly organised, able to prioritise, have excellent interpersonal skills enjoy working as part of a team. We encourage our staff to build relationships with our patients and rate this skill highly. The successful candidate with be based at our elective surgical site at Manukau Surgery Centre. 

This is a full time fixed term position till December 2022, working Monday to Friday.

Essential:

  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Good command of verbal and written English

Preference:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as Hospital Aide
