A rare opportunity has become available in our Child Development Service. We are looking for an experienced nurse to join our Gateway Health Assessment team on a part time basis. It is a great opportunity to enhance your career and gain experience working in a senior nurse role
The Gateway health assessment team provides a health and education assessment for tamariki in the care of Oranaga tamariki. This position offers variety, challenges and learning experiences within the paediatric field. You will work alongside, a paediatrician and or psychologist along with administration support. You will also be liaising with health services, education providers and social services to enable to best outcomes for the children in the care of Oranga Tamariki.
If you are successful in joining our dynamic and supportive team you will be able to choose your own flexible hours, as well as being mentored by the previous incumbent.
We are looking for someone with:
- Excellent organisational and communicational skills with an eye for detail
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Sounds clinical knowledge with paediatric experience desirable
- Ability to coordinate and collect all relevant information for the assessment
- Strong Hawkes Bay community networks
- Compassion and empathy for complex and vulnerable tamariki and their whanau
