Clinical Nurse Specialist – Gastroenterology & Hepatology

                                                                Permanent role (0.6 FTE) Monday to Friday

Our progressive Endoscopy Unit based across both Middlemore Hospital and MSC, provides both diagnostic and exciting interventional Endoscopy services. This is a part time position working with the medical and nursing staff within the Gastroenterology & Hepatology Service, providing treatment, education and care to patients via a nurse lead clinic.  This role would provide clinical expertise and leadership within the Gastroenterology & Hepatology service in order to ensure patient treatment and care planning is comprehensive and informed by specialist knowledge.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible to the Charge Nurse Manager and Service Manager for achievement of objectives and goals for their service and within the confines of Counties Manukau Health. They will be responsible to the Clinical Nurse Director for on-going professional guidance, leadership and support.

The remuneration for this role is based on NZNO NECA – Senior Nurse Grade 4

You will need:

·         New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current APC

·         3 years acute experience in Gastroenterology/and/or Hepatology post registration

·         Expert Level PDRP

·         Relevant Tertiary Qualification

·         Endoscopy experience

·         Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team
