Come to the spectacular East Coast of New Zealand and be part of our dynamic cardiology & long term conditions team.

A Trainee Cardiac Sonographer is now being sought  in a collaborative effort to increase our ability to provide locally based, specialist services.  The trainee role is a permanent position during which you will undertake a Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound run by the Queensland University of Technology and travel outside of the district for training.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is interested in Cardiology to recieve fully funded training as a Cardiac Sonographer.  We are seeking applications from Clinical Physiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists or someone with a Health Sciences Bachelor Degree.

Duration of the QUT programme is 2 years.  Qualification must be achieved within a 3 year time period from the firts available QUT enrolment date after commencement of employment.  Please note to be eligible for enrolment in the qualification you must be a New Zealand citizen (incluing citizens of the Cook Islands, Tokelau and Niue) or an Australian citizen.
