Our community midwifery team midwives provide exceptional LMC care to the pregnant community of the Hutt provided in the hospital as well as in the community closer to people's homes, these also include our Hapu Ora Vsearlvleicye, sc lbinaiscesd a irne Marae settings. nYeoeu dws iollf boeu ra bdileve tros ep rcoovmidme utaniiltoy riend a e sdeutctiantgio wn haenrde cthaerey taor ep rceogmnfaonrtt apbeloep. le and new parents, placing emphasis on the cultural care You will be able to prescribe and drive DHB vehicles to visit our community and enjoy the freedom of not being in a hospital setting every day. Our multi-disciplinary maternity team work alongside the pregnant people of the Hutt Valley Region as they transition through pregnancy
into parenthood. We work as a team to support the successful breastfeeding journey of the new family, recognizing that everyone has
specialized knowledge and areas of expertise. We embrace all diversity that makes up our community and aim to provide the best
breastfeeding outcomes.
Moū - About you
We would love you to join our close knit and supportive community midwifery team.
You would:
- need a current midwifery practicing certificate
- have a full drivers licence
- have current knowledge of the antenatal and postnatal advice, be able to work autonomously in the community setting providing
- antenatal and postnatal care and
- have the ability to build trusting relationships quickly with a very diverse community
- have a passion to provide culturally appropriate care that meets the needs of the community
