ART/ARTHA Physiotherapist and/or Occupational therapist 

Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth

Fixed term, up to full time

  • We are currently seeking suitably qualified allied health professionals to join our Allied Response Team (ART) / Allied Response Team Home Assessment (ARTHA)

About the Role

 

The ART/ARTHA team operates within the Community Services Group and works as an essential member of the TDHB’s Emergency Department (ED), and across the in-patient teams. The purpose of the ART/ARTHA service is to work alongside clinical staff to provide a holistic rapid response to a patient’s care and support needs. By providing physiotherapy, occupational therapy and social work assessments and services ART/ARTHA support medical teams to put in place rapid and short-term package of services that supports patient’s when they are discharged from hospital care.

 

ART/ARTHA is a unique and diverse team that works interdisciplinary. The team works in mainly in ED and in patient’s homes, but also across medical, orthopaedic and surgical wards. ART/ARTHA provide patient centred care, by the right discipline, at the right time and in the most appropriate location. We believe that the right support at the right time facilitates and support patient’s recovery in their own home

 

ART/ARTHA is a 7 day a week rostered service, operating between 7am to 5:30pm. We support and welcome flexible working.
