About the role:
 

Due to parental leave, we have an exciting position for a Senior Advisor Delivery within the Innovation team for a period of 12 months. 

In this role you will contribute to the P&C work programme and associated projects by working with stakeholders to support the delivery of their projects. You will assist with developing project plans and necessary project documentation to support the project management planning, processes, track progress as well as identify and mitigate risk to ensure high quality and on-time deliverables for customers.

You will be stakeholder management savvy with hands on experience in project management. Strong relationship management and communications skills are key to ensure the P&C branch and wider stakeholders are well connected and informed. You will be a strong team player, sharing your knowledge and mentoring others to help contribute to building better project management expertise.

You will also identify areas for business and process improvement within the team as well as wider P&C branch and bringing new ideas to help embed a culture of project management excellence.

Skills and experience required:

 

We are interested to hear from candidates who have the following:

  • Previous experience in project management with responsibility for developing and managing high quality, multiple stakeholder projects. Experience within a Human Resources (HR) environment would be an advantage
  • Experience working with project management systems with ability to analyse large, complex issues and readily grasp and assimilate ideas, analysis and advice produced by others
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships internally and externally, quickly building trust and credibility
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present complex issues in a way that engages the audience
  • Experience coaching or mentoring others
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive and comparable relevant experience
  • Must have legal right to live and work in NZ.
     
About the team

The Innovation team sits within the P&C People Services team in Ngā Pou o te Taumaru group.  The Innovation team provides dedicated support and expertise in business analysis and project delivery to the P&C Branch. They work with SME’s and stakeholders to support delivery on P&C programmes and projects and have a strong focus on continuous improvement.
