About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Analyst with our People and Culture People Services team.  In this role you will work closely with the Senior Product Analyst's to deliver the product roadmap and to ensure BCP and DR processes are in place and kept updated.

You will also assist with the delivery of releases in relation to new and existing P&C products and contribute to the testing and change management processes ensuring that all P&C products are thoroughly tested and fit for production environment. 

You will bring to this role strong relationship management skills with the ability to apply good judgement to highlight risks and issues and ensure thorough delivery of new and existing P&C products.  You will have a collaborative approach with ability to work well within a busy team environment, sharing your knowledge and embracing new ideas and ways of doing things to contribute to the success of the team and wider P&C branch.

The P&C People Services team is on a journey to become a genuinely outstanding function that is recognised as such by its stakeholders.  In this role you will help guide the delivery of successful and sustainable outcomes to deliver ‘real' value to the business

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience working in an HR environment and knowledge of HR/payroll systems
  • Solid system testing knowledge – SIT/PPT/UAT
  • Experience in SAP products is preferred
  • Ability to effectively and consistently identify risks, analyse issues and readily grasp and assimilate the ideas, analysis and advice produced by others
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management skills with the ability to quickly establish trust and credibility to influence and negotiate at all levels
  • Good communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred and/or comparable experience working within a government environment
  • Must have legal right to live and work in NZ.
     
About the team

The Product Management team sits within the P&C People Services team in the Ngā Pou o te Taumaru Group.  The Product Management team is responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of all P&C systems and works with the business owners, ICT and vendors.  The team has ownership of the P&C product roadmap.
