We are looking for an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist to work on the acute inpatient wards at Waitakere Hospital to provide quality early assessment, intervention, rehabilitation and discharge planning through a patient-centred approach. This role is a 0.8FTE fixed term period covering parental leave. We have a very supportive team structure and we prioritise staff development through coaching and supervision.
You must be a New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist and possess at least one year’s post graduate experience, ideally have experience in assessing and providing wheelchair and seating solutions, and assessing how cognitive impairments impact on occupational performance
You must be able to demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent organisation and communication skills, be proactive and a team player. You will be motivated and passionate about quality improvement and ideally you will also have experience in supporting staff and / or students.
