We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who has post graduate experience to join our district-wide extended (core II) rotation programme. Rotations are 12 months duration. This rotation programme offers you the opportunity to increase your clinical skills within the areas of rehabilitation, neurology, wheelchairs and seating, community, and paediatric specialities, and assist your career development.
Our current rotation vacancies are based at Starship Community and Adult Community service.
Core II staff are supported to assume additional responsibilities alongside developing their clinical skills, including management and supervision skills, and supporting the development of less experienced staff in prioritisation and case load management.
Ideally you will have the following skills, attributes and experience:
- At least 18 months post qualification experience
- Ability to work collaboratively within an IDT.
- A pro-active, 'can-do' approach
- Sound clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to facilitate timely transitions back into the community
- Strong prioritisation skills and experience with complex discharge planning
