Full and Part Time Permanent Roles Available - Rostered Shifts

Are you passionate about general medicine and older persons health??

Ward 5 is a 28 bedded ward that specialises in acute medicine/care of the elderly (ACE) for patients over 80 years old who have threatened independence. Health Care Assistants are our RNs right hand people. We work together, Kotahitanga, for day-to-day tasks of caring for our patients, this is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to our vision of delivering quality patient care.

Ward 5 is also AT&R, providing specialist inpatient rehabilitation service for older people. Ward 5 cares for a complex demographic of co-morbid and frail patients. We are dedicated to improving and maintaining the health and independence of older people.

We are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our great team of highly skilled nurses to provide clinical and non-clinical care to our patients. Our new team member must be highly organised, able to prioritise, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships with our patients.

Essential:

·         HCA level 4 qualification/ Level 3 HCA qualification with at least 1 year experience

·         Minimum 1 year experience working within a hospital environment

·         Good communication and customer service skills 

·         Good command of verbal and written English 

·         Basic computer skills
