Health Care Assistant Rotorua Emergency Department 
Permanent – Full or Part time positions available - Rostered shifts

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HCA to come and join the team in Rotorua Emergency Department.

About the service:
Rotorua Emergency Department is a regional ED. We see approximately 40,000 patients per year with a broad case-mix of presentations from paediatrics to geriatrics, medicine to trauma.

Responsibilities of the role:
•    Large component of the HCA role in ED is to do stock ordering and restocking 
•    To be approachable to staff for guidance to locate products within the department
•    Maintain and rotate stores
•    Develop knowledge of products and their use
•    Foresee upcoming events to ensure ED has adequate supplies
•    As required provide excellent care as direct by the RN’s to our patients and their Whanau working within a multidisciplinary team approach

Required skills & experience:
•    Product familiarity 
•    Stock ordering – advantageous 
•    Demonstrates highly effective communication skills and team work

Salary range $46 – 53K per annum pro rated to hours worked
