Pou Awhina Whaiaro  Personal Assistant to Director Equity Outcomes and Delivery
Permanent 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

The Māori Health Equity Directorate has a position available for  a Pou Awhina  Whaiaro (Personal Assistant)..  You will provide a high level, quality, confidential, professional Personal Assistant  and administrative support to the Director Equity Outcomes and Delivery, and the Maori Health Directorate. 

It is expected that you will establish quality procedures and processes for the group to help the Māori Health Equity Directorate manage their responsibilities.  You will have excellent computer skills and be able to use a variety of office computer software packages.  You will also be able to ensure responses to requests are completed in a timely manner, efficient manner and be able to multi-task, be well organized, have a calm and professional manner.
An ability to engage with our whanau, and having a sound knowledge and application of Nga Tikanga Maori will also be key. 
You will be able to demonstrate:

•    Significant experience in a Personal assistant or senior Administration role.
•    An exceptional level of confidentiality is maintained at all times.
•    A high level of Whakawhānaungatanga (hospitality)
•    Software skills, including Windows and Microsoft office programs; Outlook (electronic mail), Word (word processing), PowerPoint, and Excel (Spread sheeting).
•    Effective time management and organisation skills an energetic approach to work and is self-motivated
•    Proficiency in report and correspondence writing
•    Ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of people.
•    Knowledge of, and practices in a manner that is consistent with, the Treaty of Waitangi in the provision of health care services and support to Māori clients and their whānau.
•    Conflict Resolution skills.
•    Your willingness to be flexible and adaptable
 

Salary range $49 - 60 K per annum
