Permanent, full-time (80 hours a fortnight)

Our Adult Community Mental Health teams provide high-quality comprehensive assessment and treatment for adults and their families living in the Nelson/Tasman region. We enjoy a team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour and respect across disciplines.
As an Acute Clinician you will work a 24/7 roster responding to clients in crisis. This will include overnight on call and receiving triaged referrals from Whakarongorau Aotearoa, Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) Triage Service, and assessment of acute presentations in response to referrals from ED, GPs and Police.
Shifts are four days on, two days off, with on call 11PM to 8AM.

You will be a mental health professional with the confidence to work autonomously and the resilience to manage a mixed case load. You will have current knowledge of mental health and associated issues and addictions clinical experience is also desirable. Whilst we are looking for an experienced practitioner - we also recruit for attitude.
For the health and safety of staff and patients all NMH staff are required to be vaccinated in accordance with the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 including boosters.
