We are seeking an experienced mental health clinician to join our team providing a community-based service for individuals with complex needs who require significant support and intervention in order to maintain their wellness in the community.
About the service:
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an intensive and highly integrated approach for community mental health service delivery. ACT is not a case management program, but rather an intervention.
About the role:
The ACT team functions seven days a week (08:00 – 16:30hrs) and also provides early evening on-call (Monday to Friday 16:30 – 20:30hrs). There will be times, when as an on-call clinician, you may be required to return to work to attend to urgent client related business that cannot wait until the next day. The rostering is largely self-rostering, so there is ability to support a work/life balance. Mental health services continue to evolve to meet the needs of clients, so the successful candidate will need to be flexible and willing to change as the service requires.
Required skills & experience:
• The ability to work effectively both in a multidisciplinary team and autonomously
• A strong recovery focus and strengths-based approach
• The ability to provide an assertive, creative and flexible approach to client care, within a variety of settings to clients in varying stages of recovery
• Well-developed time management skills with the ability to co-ordinate personal and team tasks
• Computer literacy and the ability to complete documentation to a high standard
• A current full drivers license.
