Ward 4 is one of four Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation wards at Middlemore Hospital, providing patient focused care in Rehabilitation and Health of Older People.  In addition, Ward 4’s model of care focuses in orthogeriatrics and patient focused care.

 

We are looking for enthusiastic Health Care Assistants to be part of our Assessment Treatment & Rehabilitation team. As a Health Care Assistant you will be required to work under the delegation of a Registered Nurse to provide assistance to patients, ensuring a consistently high quality of care is received.  

 

We are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable and enjoys working as team member in a multidisciplinary team. We offer a comprehensive orientation and on-going training.

Essential requirements:
  • Health Care Assistant level 4 certificate or equivalent (to be assessed)
  • Minimum 1+ year HCA experience in an acute environment in NZ
  • Current CPR Certificate 
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Good command of verbal and written English
