Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are seeking an experienced clinician who is an energetic, patient centred and motivated Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy team. The team is part of the wider Allied Health Inpatient team at Kenepuru Community Hospital.
The physiotherapist in this role will work with patients admitted to the Specialist Rehabilitation ward at Kenepuru Hospital with acquired brain injury / stroke, progressive neurological conditions and amputations. There will be a need to work flexibly to support the wider inpatient physiotherapy team working in the Surgical Unit and with frail, elderly patients admitted to the Health of the Older Persons wards.

The successful applicant will join a team of around 30 Allied Health staff from 6 different professions. We work together closely to provide a service of high standard to patients and their families and whanau. We are a very supportive team who provide training and learning opportunities, supervision, encourage professional development and have fun and laughter along the way.
Moū - About you
- NZ Registered Physiotherapist with a current annual practicing certificate
- Member of Physiotherapy New Zealand - professional association (desirable)
- Collaborative and effective multi and interdisciplinary team work
- Experience of managing a busy caseload and delegating appropriately to skilled assistant staff
- A clear understanding of the health needs of our Māori and Pacific Island communities
- Demonstrates ability to build rapport with patient and whānau from all backgrounds
- Current drivers licence
