About the role:
The Waikato DHB Audiology department is looking for full or part time applicants for an audiologist role in our innovative and friendly team in one of the largest DHBs and providers of paediatric hearing services in New Zealand. There are permanent and fixed term opportunities available. We will consider applications from both experienced audiologists, along with graduate audiologists with an interest in developing a broad foundation in clinical practice.
We are looking for an audiologist who is passionate about their work, puts their patient and whānau at the centre of care, has excellent interpersonal skills, is dedicated, and has the ability to work flexibly in a bustling team environment while maintaining high quality care.
About the service:
You will be working with a team comprising of a number of experienced audiologists, supportive and efficient administrative staff and a well-established co-located Newborn Hearing Screening Programme. As part of the team you will mostly be working with tāmariki to provide diagnostic assessment and habilitation services, as well as bone anchored hearing aid assessment and fitting, and ENT diagnostic adult assessments. You will have opportunity to be involved in rural satellite clinics and work alongside paediatric services and Ministry of Education staff.

We also offer exposure to complex clinical cases, supervision and mentorship, as well as regular staff meetings and case conferences. Full support and supervision is available for Audiologists completing their NZAS Clinical Competency Certificate or Paediatric Certificates.
Required skills & experience:
• Masters degree in Audiology, or have an equivalent qualification recognised by the New Zealand Audiological Society
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal & written communication
• The ability to work well within a team
• Current valid full New Zealand drivers licence
Ideally you will also have:
• NZAS Clinical Competency Certificate
• NZAS Paediatric Certifications
