Right now, we-re looking for a Clinical Midwife Manager to lead the Jean Todd Maternity Service and provide coordination of the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimum care across the birthing and ward areas. Providing professional leadership that empowers the team so as to deliver high quality health care to women and their associated family/whanau, is a key element of this role.
The role also contributes to the supervision and coaching of nursing staff along with actively contributing to multi-disciplinary models of care. Additionally, collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Co-ordinator Pediatrics, to promote efficiency, productivity and patient/staff safety within the area of neonatology.
Skills
for success in this role includes;
- NZ Fully Qualified Registered Midwife with a current APC and recent clinical leadership experience
- Working towards or has completed the Quality Leadership Programme
- Role Model for contemporary clinical practice and woman centred care
- Understanding of Tikanga Maori
- Knowledge and compliance with legislative and best practice requirements

reports to the Director Patient, Nursing and Midwifery.
