Right now, we-re looking for an experienced and confident team leader with great communication and organisational skills to manage our team of Stop Smoking Practitioners.  This stimulating position offers the opportunity for a motivated health professional to help shape and drive the Smokefree and Stop Smoking service across the region.

As leader of this self-motivated team, you will be assisting both individuals and the community in gaining their freedom from smoking. You will be leading education programmes in health promotion (such as targeted smoke free campaigns), and also work alongside colleagues throughout the health, disability and other sectors, all to support the vision of Smokefree Aotearoa 2025.

If you are a Health Practitioner with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to lead a team, then this is your opportunity to start making a difference.  This role is responsible for maintaining effective and collaborative working relationships to help increase the overall uptake to the Smokefree program. Leading this important national initiative we would expect you are also Smokefree. 

To be successful in this role you will have;

• Experience leading a team
• Demonstrated ability in behavioral change
• Experience in engaging health practitioners and the community in targeted programmes  
• Experience working with a diverse range of groups and individuals
• Be a Registered Health Practitioner
